Crafting Your Own Beeswax Tapered Candles

Let's walk through the process of creating your own beautiful beeswax tapered candles.

Materials Needed:

• Beeswax sheets

• Candle wick

• Scissors

• Optional: candle holder

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Prepare Your Workspace: Find a clean, flat surface to work on. The beauty of this project is its simplicity – no melting or pouring required!

2. Cut the Wick: Measure and cut your wick about an inch longer than your beeswax sheet.

3. Position the Wick: Lay your beeswax sheet horizontally and place the wick along one short edge, leaving a small overhang at the bottom.

4. Begin Rolling: Gently warm the beeswax sheet with your hands to make it pliable. Start rolling the sheet around the wick, keeping it as tight and even as possible.

5. Adjust as You Go: The forgiving nature of beeswax allows you to make adjustments as you roll. Ensure the wick stays centered and the edges align neatly.

6. Secure the End: When you reach the end of the sheet, gently press the edge into the candle to secure it.

7. Finish the Ends: Pinch the top of the candle around the wick. At the bottom, either leave the wick tab exposed for standing the candle upright, or trim it flush if using a candle holder.
