2. October's Scent Sample (60g)

A small preview of next month's fragrance, giving subscribers a taste of what's to come!

3. Nature-Inspired Postcard

Stay cosy!

You know that bittersweet feeling when you're burning the last of your favourite seasonal candle? That's exactly where I found myself not too long ago. As I watched the flame of my beloved winter scent flicker, I couldn't help but wish I could bottle up that cozy feeling for just a little longer.

Then it hit me - why not create something that captures the magic of each season, all year round? Something that brings a little slice of comfort and calm into our busy lives, no matter what the calendar says. And just like that, the idea for Little Batch Wax Co.'s candle subscription boxes was born.

I still remember the excitement (and, let's be honest, the nerves!) of putting together that very first box. I wanted to create more than just a candle - I wanted to craft an experience. Picture this: you're curled up in your favourite armchair, wrapped in that perfectly worn-in sweater. There's a fire crackling nearby, and maybe a little whisky in hand. That's the feeling I tried to capture in "Woollen Sweater," our very first subscription box scent.

Each box is like a little care package from New Zealand, complete with a locally shot postcard (because our country is just too beautiful not to share). It's our way of bringing a bit of magic right to your doorstep.

In this world of constant notifications and never-ending to-do lists, we all need a reminder to slow down. To take a deep breath. To connect - with ourselves, with nature, with each other. That's what these candle boxes are all about. They're an invitation to press pause, even if it's just for a moment, and find a little peace in your day.

Every time I pack up a box, I'm filled with gratitude. For the amazing people who've welcomed our scents into their homes. For the talented local artists and photographers we get to work with. For the chance to spread a little light and warmth in the world. It's more than just candles - it's about creating a little sanctuary, right in your own home.

As the fresh breeze of spring fills the air, it's the perfect time to breathe new life into your kitchen. Today, we're focusing on a simple yet transformative project: revamping your pantry with upcycled glass jars.

Not only will this refresh your space, but it's also an eco-friendly and budget-conscious way to maximize storage in small kitchens.

Why Upcycled Glass Jars?

1. Sustainability: Reusing jars reduces waste and your carbon footprint.

2. Cost-effective: Thrift stores and op shops offer affordable options. (I found these for

$5 each. After a good scrub they were good as new)!

3. Aesthetics: Creates a cohesive, visually appealing pantry.

4. Practicality: Easily see and access your ingredients.

Steps to Refresh Your Pantry:

1. Declutter and Clean

- Remove all items from your pantry

- Wipe down shelves and surfaces

- Check expiration dates and discard old items

2. Source Your Jars

- Visit local thrift stores or op shops

- Look for various sizes to accommodate different ingredients

- Ensure lids seal properly

3. Prepare the Jars

- Thoroughly clean and dry each jar

- Remove old labels (tip: use a mixture of baking soda and oil)

- Sanitize in boiling water or the dishwasher

4. Organize and Fill

- Group similar items together (e.g., baking supplies, grains, snacks)

- Transfer dry goods like flour, oats, rice, and coffee into jars

- Label each jar clearly

5. Arrange Your Pantry

- Place frequently used items at eye level

- Use shelf risers or lazy Susans for added accessibility

- Consider adding hooks for measuring cups or small tools

Refreshing your pantry with up-cycled glass jars is a simple yet impactful way to welcome spring. It not only organises your space but also adds a touch of charm to your kitchen.

Plus, you'll be doing your part for the environment while creating a more functional cooking area.
